By Our Correspondent

HYDERABAD, July 29: A railways staffer foiled a bid to steal fishplates from railway line near the Kotri railway station on Tuesday.

The theft could have caused a serious accident.

Sources said that unidentified people were trying to steal fishplates and they had opened some of them near

KB feeder spot on upcountry track.

Luckily, they were spotted by key man Mohammad Hussain who offered them resistance. He got injured and the outlaws fled from the scene.

Mohammad Hussain was taken to hospital.

It is learnt that Shah Rukn-i-Alam Express was due to arrive on the track but it was topped.

Other trains’ departure and arrival at the Kotri Railway Station have also been stopped at other stations.
