DADU, July 28: A villager has accused police of torturing his innocent cousin to death and demanded an inquiry into the matter.

Chhango Burfat, resident of Manjhi village in the Kotri Site area, alleged that police killed his cousin Allah Jurio, terming him robber two days back at Jamshoro Toll Plaza.

Burfat told journalists that Allah Jurio had come from Sujawal town and he was working as labour in Site area. He said that police had detained and killed him after torture, but showed it a fake encounter.

He said that Allah Jurio had no criminal record and demanded impartial enquiry in to the matter.

However, Jamshoro DPO Farrukh Bashir, claimed that Allah Jurio was hardened criminal and 12 cases were registered against him in Thatta and Jamshoro districts.
