HYDERABAD: BA Part-I result out

Bureau Report

HYDERABAD, July 28: The University of Sindh on Monday announced result of annual examination 2007 for B.A. Pass Part-I, in which 5,493 of 7,943 candidates passed all subjects.

The university’s examination department had withheld result of 325 candidates under various objections raised by the conduct and secret branches of the university. The percentage of successful candidates remained 69.16, said a notification.

Parallel body: The founding members of All Sindh Education Department Lower Staff Association have formed a parallel association by the name of “Hyder group” to break the monopoly of perennial president of the association who is stuck to the post since 1992.

Speaking at a news conference at the press club here on Monday, Abdul Jabbar Pirzado, Mohammad Ismail Jatoi, Zubair Ahmed Rind, Ghulam Rasool Soomro and others said that President Darya Khan Jamali considered the association as his personal fief and always took unilateral decisions in the name of association and in violation of the decisions of central council of the association.

CLASSES START: Classes for the second semester of 2008 academic session in all the institutes and departments of the University of Sindh commenced on Monday.
