Rail fares increased

LAHORE, July 25: The Pakistan Railways administration has announced an 8 to 15 per cent increase in passenger fares and freight charges with effect from Saturday.

The fare for all air-conditioned classes, First Class, Sleeper Class, AC Business, AC Standard and AC Parlour has been increased by 15 per cent.

The fare for all Non-AC classes including First Class Sleeper, Economy Class and Second Class has been increased by 8 per cent. Freight charges will go up by 10 per cent.

Freight charges will go up by 5 per cent from Monday.
