Khairpur, July 25: After suspension of the district food controller (DFC) and seven food inspectors about one week ago, no new district food controller or food inspectors have been posted as yet.

Sources said that the district food controller and food inspectors had been suspended on the charge of negligence in duty.

The additional charge of the office of the DFC has been given to his Sukkur counterpart. Farmers and small flour mill owners said that in the absence of the DFC, they were facing hardships.
