KARACHI, July 25: Three ships carrying containers and furnace oil were berthed during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, three more ships to load/offload containers, cement and chemicals also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy was managed at 60 per cent at the wharves as six ships, Lahore Express, AI-Isha’a, Navision Bulker, Santa Fe, Monique and Sea Lion, were busy in loading and unloading containers, clinker, cement, rice and furnace oil.A cargo volume of 54,488 metric tons comprising 25,270 tons of import and 29,218 tons of export cargo was handled.

Lahore Express sailed out while AI-Isha’a was expected to leave the port.
