Robbers snatch cash, vehicles

RAWALPINDI, July 24: Two robbers snatched Rs400,000 from a man at gunpoint in Saddar while five vehicles were taken away by thieves from different parts of the city on Wednesday, police said.Furkan Butt, the robbery victim, told Cantonment police that he was going home after drawing cash from a bank when two motorcycle riders intercepted him and held him at gunpoint.

He said the gunmen snatched the cash and a mobile phone from him and sped away.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Faheem lodged a similar complaint with R.A. police saying that two motorcycle riders intercepted him and snatched his bag, containing Rs10,000 and a cell phone.

Sheikh Mohammad Iqbal’s car was stolen from Banni police area, Zulfiqar Ali’s car (FDA-1178) was taken away by thieves from Pirwadhai area while Mohammad Tariq’s car (IDF-5030) was stolen from Wah Cantonment.

Khalid Mehmood’s motorcycle (RIV-4487) was stolen from Mandra police area while Fateh Mohammad’s motorcycle (MB-378) was taken away by thieves from Taxila.
