11 shopkeepers fined

RAWALPINDI, July 24: In its ongoing campaign against profiteers and hoarders launched by District Coordination Officer (DCO) Jamal Mustafa Syed, the district administration imposed fine amounting to Rs19,000 on 11 shopkeepers in different areas of the district.

According to a press release, Executive District Officer (EDO) Revenue Mohammad Asif Qureshi said the district administration had formed special teams under the supervision of special price magistrates Anwarul Haq, Mohammad Saeed Toor, Shafqat Raza, Syed Ajmal Bukhari (Taxila), Kunza Farhan (Gujar Khan), Sohail Maqbool and Saman Rai (Kahuta) in different tehsils in order to check profiteers and hoarders and conducted 98 raids.
