KARACHI, July 23: Two ships scheduled to load/offload containers and clinker were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, two more ships carrying containers and chemicals also arrived at the outer anchorage. Five ships, Maersk Georgia, Navlsion Bulker, Santa Fe, Monique and Merbabu, were busy in loading and unloading containers, clinker, cement, rice and crude oil.

A cargo volume of 73,075 tons comprising 57,798 tons of import and 15,277 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was slow as only Loe Princess left the port while Maersk Georgia was expected to depart on Wednesday.
