Wapda asked to withdraw notice against Rehan

By Our Sports Reporter

LAHORE, July 21: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) president Zafarullah Khan Jamali has instructed Wapda to withdraw the notice against striker Rehan Butt, which was served to him for not representing the department in a national event held in Abbottabad last month.

The president asked Wapda sports secretary Saghir Ahmad to withdraw the notice after he named Rehan in the Pakistan squad for the Beijing Olympics here on Monday.

Rehan had asked the PHF president before start of the one-day trials to help him in withdrawing the notice as he could not play for Wapda due to national duties.

Saghir told Dawn that the instruction of the PHF president would be followed.
