MIRPURKHAS, July 19: The session of the Umerkot district council convened on Friday for the third time to give approval to annual budget was again postponed till July 30 without opening debate on the budget, which was presented on June 30.

Members of Faqir Dost Panel Ali Bux Mangrio, Ghulam Mohammad Maher and Ilyas Rajar said that the committee for scrutiny and approval of budget needed more time to make the budget pro-people.

MNA of PML-F Faqir Jadam Mangrio and Umerkot District Nazim Faqir Maghan Mangrio said at a press conference that Sindh minister for low-cost housing was acting like an SHO. Members of Faqir Dost Panel were being threatened and harassed to pressurise them to change loyalty but their attempts had met failure, they said.
