KARACHI, July 17: Zone-V, Zone-VI and Zone-VII entered the KCCA Inter-zonal Under-15 Cricket Championship semi-finals after recording victories against their respective opponents on Wednesday.

Mohammad Rahim Khan smashed an unbeaten 64 with ten boundaries as Zone-V outplayed Lasbela District by nine wickets at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground.

Left-arm spinner Ali Nawaz captured three wickets for 29, Adeel Anwar two for 12 as Lasbela District, batting first, crashed to 112 all out in 34.1 overs. Zone-V, in response, romped home in 19.1 overs for the loss of Faizan Khan, who made 37.

By winning this match, Zone-V eased into the semi-finals and kept the unbeaten record in their seventh league game.

At the TMC Ground, Hasan Azad scored 58 with five fours and left-arm spinner Faraz Ahmed grabbed three wickets for 37 to help Zone-VI to a 60-run win over Zone-II, and a place in the pre-finals.

In another match played at the Student Ground, off-spinner Mohammad Waqas captured five wickets for 33 besides scoring 46 runs to lead Zone-VII to the semi-finals as they beat Zone-I by 12 runs.
