Nadra office ransacked
A gang of young men claiming to be PPP workers exchanged hot words and beat up Nadra staff, ransacked the office, and escaped with an official camera, on Thursday.
In-charge of the centre said that around 200 people had queued up for obtaining national identity cards, while some youngsters forcibly entered the office and asked the staff to give them token. The staff rejected the demand and this enraged the youngsters who began ransacking the office and manhandled Data Entry Operator Arif Ahmed.
However, people dispersed because of the pandemonium resulting in the closure of office for about two hours, he said adding that town and district police were duly told of the incident.
Town police had registered a non-cognizable report on the complaint of centre’s staff.
