KARACHI, July 15: Two ships scheduled to load/offload containers and chemicals were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, four more ships carrying containers, palm oil and furnace oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.
Six ships, Maersk Carolina, Sirios, Navision Bulker, Madonna-III, Golden Express and Kaghan, were busy in loading and unloading containers, rock phosphate, steel billet, coal, chemicals and iron ore.
A cargo volume of 59,176 tons comprising 47,227 tons of import and 11,952 tons of export tonnage was handled.
Sinar Agra, Bunga Melati Dua, Sea Lion and Maersk Carolina sailed out while Golden Express was due to depart.
