KARACHI, July 15: Six ships carrying containers, general cargo and to load clinker are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Harmony, Mol Admiration to unload and load containers, Chi Feng Kou to unload and load general cargo, Bengal Orchid to offload chemicals and Quasar to unload crude oil were berthed after the departure of four.

The departing ships were led by Global Progress, Ocean Beauty, Chemroad Fuji and Napa, while Super Star-3, Bengal Orchid, Ioannisk, Far Singapore and Quasar are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 132,000 tons comprising 41,749 tons of export cargo including 13,000 tons of cement and clinker and 90,022 tons of import tonnage was handled on Tuesday.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Hyundai Admiral, Anna-E and APL Pusan with containers, Niam Pearl, with general cargo and Shaheen al-Ghanim to load clinker.
