Scattered rain forecast

LAHORE, July 14: The Met Office has forecast isolated thunderstorm and rain, along with cloudy and partly-cloudy weather, in the country on Tuesday (today).

Isolated thunderstorm and rain has been forecast for Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sargodha and Gujranwala divisions in Punjab, Malakand, Peshawer and Hazara divisions in the NWFP and Muzaffarabad in Azad Kashmir.

Cloudy weather has been forecast for Faisalabad, Mardan, Kohat and Dera Ismail Khan divisions while in Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur Skardu and Gilgit it will be partly cloudy.

According to synoptic situation, a weak westerly wave was passing across northeast of the country. Monsoon current from the Arabian Sea was reaching Punjab and Kashmir up to a height of 7,000 feet. There was a seasonal low over northwestern Balochistan.
