KARACHI, July 14: Eight ships carrying DAP fertiliser, coal and to load cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where eight ships, Red Sea Spirit, Soraya to load cement, APL Alexanderite to unload and load containers, King Brian and Global Progress to unload and load general cargo, Belgua Fusion to unload and load general cargo, Chemroad Fuji, Napa, tankers and Super Star-3, were berthed during the last two days.

Sailing was fairly active as 16 vessels including Hanjin Chittagon, Bulk Arrow, Industrial Diamond, Lalazar, Belgua Fusion, Sinar Agra, Rosy Falcon, Calvin P. Titus, Oel Trust, St Irene, Jakarta Express, Creek, Itha Bhum and Teen departed.

A total tonnage of 198,000 tons comprising 81,164 tons of export cargo and 117,000 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Sima Sahba, FAR Singapore, APL Cairo and APL Pusan with containers, Manora Naree with 27,030 tons of DAP fertiliser, Fu Ning Hai with 39,500 tons of coal, Lucky Arrow to load 11,500 tons of cement and BBC Spain with general cargo.
