KHANEWAL, July 13: The National Highway and Motorway Police will start observing a ‘Sweet Candy Week’ from Monday (today) in a bid to get support from kids to persuade their elders fasten seat belts and avoid using cell phones while driving.

Passenger kids will be offered candies and gifts during the sweet candy week in return for their commitment that they will keep asking their elders to fasten seat belts, avoid using cell phones and honour other traffic rules while driving, says chief patrolling officer Mian Shafiq.—APP
