Strike against killing of PPP-SB leader
LARKANA, July 13: A complete strike was observed in Qambar town on Sunday on a call given by the Pakistan peoples’ Party-Shaheed Bhutto in protest against killing of Ali Gohar Chandio, central president of Sindh People’s Students Federation-Shaheed Bhutto in Karachi in a police encounter.
The activists of PPP-SB and SPSF-SB took out a procession, which started from Immambargah road and terminated at the press club after marching on the main roads of town.
Raising slogans against police and carrying placards and banners they burnt tyres on the main roundabouts bringing traffic to a halt for quite sometime.
Local party leaders who led the procession lashed out at police and held Inspector Ishaque Lashari responsible for killing Ali Gohar in a fake encounter.
They announced moving court for bringing the culprits to justice.
In Mirpurkhas, SPY-SB and SPSF-SB took out a rally in protest against the killing.—BoC
