GUJAR KHAN, July 13: Three persons died in separate incidents in the jurisdiction of Gujar Khan police station on Sunday.

In the first incident, a man was shot dead by his rivals.

Basharat Hussain, a resident of Pharwal Saru Khan, told police that Khizer, Jabbar and his accomplices shot dead Kausar Iqbal. The body was shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.

In another incident, Rahmat Jan, wife of Ali Akbar, died after sustaining burn injuries in Mohrah Kanial village on Sunday morning.

The woman was burnt when the stove in her kitchen exploded. She was shifted to Rawalpindi hospital where she died.

The residents of the area quoted the family members as saying that the woman had filled the stove with petrol instead of kerosene oil. When this correspondent contacted the local police, they expressed their ignorance about the incident.

In the third incident, Mohammad Nawaz, a resident of Dhoke Chaudhrian, committed suicide by swallowing poisonous pills on Sunday morning. The victim was shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital where he died. The local police again expressed their ignorance about the incident.— Correspondent
