SUKKUR, July 13: The UBL action committee on Sunday demanded reinstatement of the employees, unjustifiably sacked from 1997 to 2007.

The committee appreciated the government decision on reinstatement of sacked government employees and termed it a good omen.

They said that they had fallen prey to political victimisation 11 years ago and since then their families had been facing immense hardships.

They said that they did not take part in any long or short march or demonstrations because they had firm belief that the democratic government would protect their basic rights.

They said that late Benazir Bhutto had announced in her speech during election campaign that after coming to power, the PPP would reinstate all the sacked employees including those of UBL.

The office-bearers of the committee from Larkana, Shikarpur, Khairpur, Nawabshah, Hyderabad, Hala, Jacobabad, Dadu, Thull, Ghotki, Pano Akil and Mirpur Khas attended the meeting.

The meeting started with recitation from the Holy Quran and fateha for late Benazeer Bhutto.
