KARACHI: Land retrieved

KARACHI, July 13: A city government team headed by officials of its revenue department and escorted by a strong contingent of police carried out an operation against land-grabbers on Sunday to retrieve around 35 acres originally allotted for graveyard in Gadap Town.

Gadap Town Nazim Ghulam Murtaza Baloch and Special Secretary to the Chief Minister Salman Abdullah Murad were also present during the operation.

According to the CDGK officials, the land was occupied by certain influential figures who had set up picnic spots, dairy farms and poultry farms on the state land.

The town nazim vowed to retrieve all the lands turned into the so-called ‘goths”.—PPI
