SIALKOT, July 11: Carrying out the Lahore High Court order, Daska Saddar police registered a murder case against three SHOs for allegedly killing an innocent youth in a fake encounter near Daska on May 21.
Deceased Kashif’s mother Iqbal Bibi of Dhadhu Basra village had lodged an FIR against Daska City SHO Waqar Javaid Bhatti, Motra SHO Rana Zahid and Daska Saddar SHO Rai Safdar.
The complainant alleged that the three accused SHOs had taken away her son from her house and later killed him in a fake police encounter.
She alleged that her son was killed soon after an incident in which nine armed accused got freed two absconders by attacking on a police van near BRB Canal in Daska.
The complainant further alleged that the accused SHOs and other police officials had forced her family to leave the village. Upon their return after two months, they found that the police had taken away TV sets, refrigerators and other valuables from their houses, which were badly damaged as well.
On the other hand, heirs of two absconders, Iqbal and Ejaz, told reporters that the Daska police had forced them to leave the Maggu Kumma village for two months and then demolished their houses in their absence.
Bashiran Bibi, the mother of absconders, urged the Punjab chief minister to provide them security of life and property and save them from the clutches of Daska police besides ensuring the early arrest of the three accused SHOs.
Accused SHO Rai Safdar said the police had the right to demolish the houses of absconders who allegedly shot dead a constable.
