‘Services of contract employees to be regularised’

LARKANA, July 11: Services of contractual employees working consecutively for three years in government departments will be regularised through a bill, shortly, said Sindh Law Minister Ayaz Soomro.
Talking to journalists on Friday he said the bill was ready to be tabled in coming Sindh Assembly session. He said chief minister, governor and minister will be empowered according to 1973 Constitution for which a bill will also be moved in the house.
Advertisements for different vacancies from grade one to 15 in various departments would be published in newspapers in a couple of days he said adding job preference will be on merit only.
To a question, he answered the Chief Justice Pakistan Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar will visit Sindh to address bar associations of Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu and Sehwan Sharif from 14th to 16th of this month.
According to the itinerary, the CJP will inaugurate an annexe building at the Sindh High Court, Sukkur Bench on 14th and in the evening will address the District Bar Association, besides participating in the foundation stone laying of the District Bar and Library at District Bar Sukkur as chief guest.
When the law minister was told that the President, SHCBA Larkana Chapter Ahmed Ali Shaikh was opposing it, he retorted: “That does not make a difference because Dogar was elected with our support while now he had been left alone.”
