HYDERABAD: Hunger Strike
HYDERABAD, July 11: Allottees of Daman-e-Kohisar, Deh Ganjo Takkar, staged token hunger strike outside the press club here on Friday against inordinate delay in the issuance of challans to allottees.
They said former Divisional Commissioner, Hyderabad, Imtiaz Qazi had issued clear orders as far back as the year 2000 for the issuance of challans to allottees but they were still not issued.
They appealed to PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, MQM chief Altaf Hussain, Sindh Governor and Chief Minister to take notice of the predicament of allottees and direct concerned authorities to issue challans to affected people.—Bureau
