Five killed by landmines

PARACHINAR, July 10: At least five people were killed and 11 others were injured in three landmine explosions in the Lower Kurram tribal region on Thursday.

According to sources, three people were killed and seven were injured when a pick-up going from Biliameen to Sadda hit a landmine near Arawali village.

Two tribesmen were killed and three others injured when a vehicle going from Sadda to Arawali hit another mine.

The injured were taken to a hospital in Sadda.

A minor boy was injured by a landmine in Mingako village.

He was taken to a hospital in Alizai.
