KARACHI, July 10: Six ships carrying general cargo, containers and to load ethanol are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where eight ships, Global Prosperity, APL Dalian with containers, Nicolaosa with general cargo, Sin Chon with rock phosphate, Fatima-1, Bulk Arrow to load cement and Lalazar to offload crude oil, were berthed.
Four ships, Global Prosperity, Northern Harmony, Cape Negro and APL Dalian sailed out on Thursday, while M-3 Susanne, Sunrise Lilac, Mare Threcium, Kapitan Byankin, Timos Stavors, APL Pusan, Super Star-3, Lalalzar, Nicolaosa, Kota Ekstres, Iron Butterfly and Mol Affinity are due to sail out on Friday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was brisk totaling 131,000 tons comprising 46,841 tons of export tonnage and 84,488 tons of import tonnage was handled.
The following ships are due on Friday: Chemroad Fujito load 12,000 tons ethanol, Bengal Orchid with chemicals, Creek, Calvin P. Titus with containers, Madonna-3 with 41,570 tons of coal and Industrial Diamond with general cargo.
