Three Killed as vans collide

NAROWAL, July 9: A man and two women were killed and 35 others sustained injuries when two vans collided head-on near Qila Kalarwala on Narowal–Muridke Road on Wednesday.

Reports said that the accident occurred when a speeding van in an attempt to overtake a truck smashed into another van coming from the opposite side. Resultantly, Niamat Ali, Munawara Bibi and Muslim Bibi died instantly while 35 received injuries, 10 of them seriously, who were shifted to a hospital in Lahore.

The seriously injured passengers were identified as Ameer Hamza, Ali Raza, Muqqadas Bibi, Ashfaq, Aslam, Sabir, Sohail, Hanif, Zainul Abedin and Bushra Bibi.
