MIRANSHAH, July 9: Political authorities urged the tribesmen to play their role in ending unrest to put the area back on the path to development.

This was stated by Aurangzeb Khan, political agent of North Waziristan Agency, while talking to a jirga of tribal elders on Wednesday.

The jirga was attended by members of the local peace committee and ulema, who assured their complete support to the political administration regarding peace efforts in the region.

The political agent informed the jirga members on the occasion that roads had been sealed to put brakes on the entry of the anti-social elements and said that nobody would be allowed to disrupt peace in the area.
