KARACHI, July 9: Two ships scheduled to load/offload containers and palm oil were berthed during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, two more ships carrying containers and palm oil arrived at the outer anchorage.

Seven ships, Maersk Iwoa, Arcadia, Sirios, Chemstar Hero, Sea Sky, Sic Hem Defender and Kaghan, were busy in loading/offloading containers, coal, rock phosphate, palm oil, furnace oil, chemicals and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 109,000 tons comprising 75,000 tons of import and 12,000 tons of export tonnage was handled.

CS Crane, Alfa-K and Maersk Iwoa sailed out while Sea Sky and Sic Hem Defender were due to depart.
