ISLAMABAD, July 8: Azerbaijan shares Pakistan’s principled position on Kashmir just as Pakistan has been supporting Azerbaijan on the issue of Armenia.

This was stated by the Speaker of the Azerbaijan Parliament, Mr Ogtay Asadov, during a meeting with Pakistan parliamentary delegation visiting Azerbaijan, according to an official communication received here on Tuesday.

The delegation, led by Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, had earlier visited Vietnam.

Other members of the delegation are: Senators Wasim Sajjad, Maulana Samiul Haq, Talha Mahmood, Latif Khan Khosa, Tahir Hussain Mashhadi, Naeem Hussain Chattha and Mr Iftikhar Ullah Babar, Additional Secretary of Senate.

The delegation also held meetings with four house committees of the Azerbaijan Parliament.

Speaker Asadov praised Pakistan’s support to his country on the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh.

He underlined the need to broaden Pakistan-Azerbaijan relations, especially in the field of trade and economy.
