20 plots retrieved

LAHORE, July 8: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Tuesday retrieved about 20 plots from land grabbers, worth millions of rupees, situated in various blocks of Johar Town.

LDA’s Estate Management Directorate staff retrieved 16 plots, each measuring five marla, in Block C of Johar Town’s Phase-II. Illegal boundary walls constructed on plots 367 to 387 were also demolished.

In another operation, the LDA staff retrieved plot No. 39 and 659 in B Block and plot No. 524 and 525 in E Block, each measuring one kanal, from illegal occupants. Illegal boundary walls constructed on these plots were also razed.

In Township, the LDA staff retrieved three commercial plots situated at Civic Centre by removing shanties from there.

Meanwhile, LDA continued its campaign against shanties and other illegal constructions in Mustafa Town that would be completed within a week or so.
