KARACHI, July 8: Six ships carrying containers, general cargo and to load naphtha are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Super Star-3 to load cement, Bunga Teratai-4, Lucky Man, Loa and Sinar Bintan to unload and load containers were berthed after the departure of 11 ships.

The departing ships were led by Wan Hai-301, Cosco Dammam, Thuringia Express, Jitra Bhum, Orient Stride, Provider, Sea Spirit, Golden Nori, Jaikur-2, Pacific Express and Cos Glory.

Lucky Man, Johar, Loa, Sinar Bintan and Blida are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity was on the higher side as the total tonnage rose to 116,000 tons comprising 32,281 tons of export cargo and 83,853 tons of import tonnage respectively.The following ships are due on Wednesday: Selendang Permata to load 45,000 tons of naphtha, APL Pusan, APL Dalian and Mol Affinity with containers and Nicolaos-Thor Swan with general cargo.
