LAHORE, July 7: PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif has condemned Karachi blasts and expressed sympathies with those injured in the incidents.
Talking to party office-bearers from London here on Monday, he called upon PML-N leaders and workers in Karachi to extend all possible help to families of the wounded. He also urged the nation to show solidarity at this testing time.
JAMAAT: The Jamaat-i-Islami has condemned the Islamabad suicide attack, terming it an outcome of renewed military operation in Fata and continuation of other policies of Gen Musharraf by the PPP regime.
Condemning the incident in a statement on Monday, JI Secretary-General Munawwar Hasan said rulers allowed Musharraf to get strong again by not impeaching him and restoring the judges. Instead, they continued his policies by raising petrol, gas and power rates which pushed up the price hike.
He said following the historic Feb 18 mandate against Musharraf and his stooges, the masses were expecting an immediate change at the top in shape of Musharraf’s impeachment and reversal of American agenda he had been implementing for the last nine years. But, he lamented, the PPP leadership dominated by non-elected persons continued the American policies.
