Bodies of policemen sent to hometowns

RAWALPINDI, July 7: Bodies of nine policemen of the Punjab Constabulary, who were killed in a suicide attack in Islamabad on Sunday evening, were sent to their hometowns after their funeral prayers at the Police Lines on Monday morning.

The prayers were attended by the police highups.

The deceased include ASI Muhammad Nawaz, Head Constable Attaullah and constables Haq Nawaz, Shahid Maqbool, Babar Ali Shah, Qamar Abbas, Khalid Mehmood, Muhammad Amjad Iqbal and Abid Rasheed.

Injured policemen of the constabulary include constables Muhammad Iqbal, Amir Shahzad, Waqarul Haq, Waseem Ahmed, Imran Yusuf, Muhammad Ikram, Muhammad Amjad, Ghulam Abbas, Faizan Ali, Muhammad Yaseen, Kalimullah, Head Constable Muhammad Alsam and ASI Basharat Ali. The injured are being treated in various hospitals of the federal capital.
