BATKHELA: FC man killed in Skhakot

BATKHELA, July 7: A soldier of the Frontier Constabulary was shot dead in Skhakot on Monday.

The Malakand Levies said FC man Ajab Khan had come to his hometown of Skhakot where he was killed by some people. The motive behind the killing could not be ascertained. The Malkand Levies registered an FIR.

ORGANISATION RENAMED: The Handicapped Welfare Association was on Monday renamed as Smile Organisation.

The decision was taken at a meeting held under All Government Employees Coordination Council president Gul Zamin. Members of the organisation attended the meeting.

The new cabinet of the organisation was also elected. Sarwar Jan was elected chairperson, Wahid Gul, president, Imranul Haq, senior vice-president, Fateh Rehman, vice-president and Saleem, general secretary.

UPLIFT PLAN: Provincial Finance Minster Humayun Khan has asked development and reconstruction institutions to prepare uplift plans for the region and promised to ensure provision of funds for the purpose. He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the Bagar Dara road.
