SUKKUR, July 6: Renowned social worker Abdul Sattar Edhi has praised the Pakistani nation for supporting him during his drive to collect donation for his organisation but condemned the waderas and politicians for their misdeeds.

Talking to journalists at Clock Tower after launching his fund collection drive here on Sunday, he paid rich tributes to Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto who, he said, always supported the poor.

He said that he never demanded anything from the government and always sought help from the people who he said were generous.

He said that 325 Edhi centres were working throughout the country with an annual budget of Rs 3.5 billion and the expenditure, he added, were being borne through the donations of the people.
