People’s Party has reneged on promises, says Qazi

By Our Reporter

LAHORE, July 5: Jamaat-i-Islami amir Qazi Husain Ahmad has said the Pakistan People’s Party government is plundering people instead of providing relief to them.

Talking to delegations at Mansoora on Saturday, he said the prime minister’s 100-day plan had proved an eye wash as people were reeling under unprecedented increase in prices of POL products, electricity and gas tariff.

The government, he said, could not take independent decisions in the presence of the “rulers who are following the US dictates”.

It was, in fact, continuing the policy of President Pervez Musharraf on Kashmir and wanted to part with it in accordance with the wishes of India and the US, he said. He said the state of parliament was pitiable because only one person continued to take all strategic decisions as was the past practice.
