KARACHI, July 5: Three ships carrying containers and wheat were allotted berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Saturday.

Three more ships carrying containers and coal also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Six ships, Al Wajba, Maersk Novazzano, Sirios, Alfa-K, Fair Dream and Y.M. Cultivation, were busy in loading and unloading containers, chemicals, wheat, furnace oil and coal.

A volume of 62,436 metric tons comprising 44,400 tons of import and 18,036 tons of export was handled.

Fair Dream and Al Wajba sailed out while Alfa and Maersk Novazzano were due to depart.
