KARACHI, July 5: About a dozen ships carrying palm oil and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Five ships, Gulf Bridge, Orient Stride, Eric G. Gibson to unload and load containers, Golden Elizabeth to offload lube oil and Guan He Kou to unload and load general cargo were berthed after the departure of four.

The departing ships were led by Grigorussa-1, China Star, Lucky Arrow and Sai, while Gulf Bridge, Bolan, Vinashin Melody, Eric G. Gibson, Sea Prince, Oel Shreyas and Provider are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling was fairly brisk at the wharves where a total tonnage of 162,000 tons comprising 43,922 tons of export cargo and 118,000 tons of import tonnage was handled on Saturday.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Golden Nori with palm oil, Johar with crude oil, Wan Hai-301, Jitra Bhum, Global Prosperity, Cosco Dammam, Thringia Express, Mare Terccium, Kapitan Byankin, Bunga Teratai Empat and Pacific Express with containers and Iron Butterfly with project cargo.
