KHAR, July 2: A tribesman was killed and four people, including a paramilitary soldier, were wounded when a rocket hit a security checkpost near the Ghakhi Pass along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border on Wednesday, officials said.

Sources said that several rockets had been fired on the checkposts of the Bajaur Levy and Bajaur Scouts near the border.

They said that two rocket shells hit a levy post in the area, killing tribesman and injuring levy’s man Inayatullah and three other people.

After the attack, security forces targeted suspected locations in the border areas. The exchange of fire caused panic among the residents.
