KARACHI: Warrants for police officials

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, July 2: The civil judge and judicial magistrate, West, Mohammad Ibrahim Sheikh on Wednesday re-issued non-bailable warrants of arrest for the SHO of Pak Colony police station Sohail, sub-inspector Sajid Hussain, ASI Mohammad Ashraf and police constable Mohammad Nawaz for not appearing before the court in a case registered against the alleged gangster of Lyari Arshad Pappoo and his associates, and directed the police high-ups to arrest them and produce them before the court on July 19.

On June 28, the court had also issued non-bailable warrants of arrest for the police officials since they were not appearing before the court for deposition. Earlier, the court had issued many notices to them. However, they did not turn-up.

The prosecution said that Arshad Pappoo and his associates were charged for looting a hardware shop of Mohammad Hussain in Dec 2003 in the limits of the Pak Colony police station.
