NAWABSHAH, July 1: The Nawabshah police booked more than 250 people under Anti-Terrorism Act for blocking the National Highway and attacking police on Tuesday.

ASI Mohammad Dawood Rind lodged an FIR under Section 7-ATA, 427, 353, 147, 151, 152, 337A-1, A-2, F-1, 337H-2 and 34 of PPC against 250 people.

Those booked include Syed Qurban Ali Shah, Sajjada Nasheen of Dargah Jamal Shah, Zaman Shah, Rabbani Shah, Achar, Mor Dahiri, Gulsher, Ghulam Hussain, Basheer Khaskheli, Mor Soomro and others.

The ASI said that they blocked the highway and pelted stones on the vehicle of SPO Doulatpur.

The SPO and two policemen received injuries, he claimed.
