Man killed by landmine

QUETTA, June 30: An employee of Frontier Works Organisation was killed in a landmine explosion in a village of Nasirabad on Monday.

According to police sources, an FWO vehicle was passing through the Chatter village near Dera Murad Jamali when it hit the landmine. The deceased was identified as Fida Hussain.

Suspected militant killed

A suspected militant was killed and four security personnel and a woman were injured during an exchange fire in Tilli area of Sibi on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Toru Khan.

Man sentenced to death

Anti-Terrorist Court Judge Najibullah Khan sentenced one Ziauddin to death on Monday after convicting him of murdering Professor Mohammad Ali Kakar, principal of the Balochistan Residential College, Loralai.

The court also awarded five-year imprisonment to Ziauddin for possessing a dagger that he used to kill the professor on April 5 this year.
