HYDERABAD, June 30: The Hyderabad Development Authority has announced booking of plot in Abdullah Heaven Housing Scheme, Deh Jamshoro, Taluka Qasimabad was illegal as it had not been approved by the Authority.

Director, Planning and Development, HDA, Mohammad Iqbal Memon said legal proceedings were being initiated against the sponsor of scheme, advising people in their own interest to seek legal situation of this and any other scheme from the Planning and Development Department before booking a plot.

He has also directed builders and developers against booking or publicity of any scheme prior to its approval. In case of violation, he said, legal action will be taken against the sponsor, including registration of an FIR and sealing of booking office.

HCCI: The Hyderabad Cham-ber of Commerce and Industry expressed concern over inordinate increase in the prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene oil and said instability in the prices of petroleum, electricity and gas was seriously hitting industrial production.—Bureau
