By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, June 30: Police recovered a factory owner, who was kidnapped from the Site area last week, in a raid on a house in Orangi Town on Monday.

Sanaullah Abdullah, owner of the Siddiqsons, was kidnapped from the gate of his factory in Site on June 26.

SPO Orangi Town told Dawn that police on some information picked up a suspect, later identified as Amir Ali, from a house in the area. During interrogation, he disclosed the presence of a captive in a house in Pakistan Bazaar police limits.

Subsequently, he said, police raided the place, recovered Mr Abdullah and arrested another suspect Amir Zia from the house. “Amir Zia was a supervisor in the factory of Siddiqsons and had prepared the kidnap plan,” DSP Qaiser Ali Shah said.

Two pistols were recovered from the possession of the suspects, he said, adding that their five accomplices were still at large.

Meanwhile, three officials of anti-encroachment department of Badlia Town were injured in an attack as they went to remove encroachments from the cottage industry land on Monday.
