Posthumous award conferred on Benazir
ISLAMABAD, June 29: An award has been conferred posthumously on Benazir Bhutto for her meritorious services in the field of democracy and humanity.
According to PTV, Benazir Bhutto’s daughter Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari received the award at a ceremony held near Paris. A delegation of Pakistan People’s Party led by its secretary-general Jehangir Badar attended the function.
The delegation included PPP Balochistan President Lashkari Raisani, Barrister Masood Kausar and Taj Haider.
About 1,200 prominent people from 120 countries attended the ceremony.—APP
