KARACHI, June 28: Railways and Wapda have got three gold medals each after the three-day National Judo Championship’s second day’s events at the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Hall, Muree Road, Abbottabad.

Saturday’s competition saw Wapda’s Ghazanfar Ali winning gold in the 90kg category followed by Railways’ Naveed (Silver), Pakistan Army’s Amjad (Bronze) and Police’s Saleem (Bronze).

Meanwhile, Muzaffar of Wapda bagged gold in the under-100kg competition with Yasir of Railways getting the silver and Army’s Talal and NWFP’s Bilal sharing the bronze.

The gold medal in the above-100kg category, was taken by Railways’ Zahid, while Army’s Abid got the silver with Shehzad (Wapda) and Zunar (Punjab) getting bronze medals.

The championship being organised by the Pakistan Judo Federation (PJF) is being participated by over a 100 judokas representing 10 teams including the provinces, FATA, Islamabad, Army, Wapda, Railways and Police.
