Khizra Sports in semi-finals

KARACHI, June 28: Tariq Haroon’s excellent all-round performance steered Khizra Sports to the KCCA Inter-club Cricket Championship semi-finals as they crushed Al-Noor Gymkhana by seven wickets at the KCCA Stadium on Friday.

The trio of Tariq Haroon, Wajahat Farooq and Mansoor Khan shared nine wickets between them to dismiss Al-Noor Gymkhana for 149 in 36.2 overs. Atif Raza made 48 with five boundaries.

Khizra Sports, in reply, romped home for the loss of three wickets. Kamran Hussain smashed six boundaries in his 59 while Tariq Haroon made 43 with the aid of five fours.

On Thursday, a fine all-round show by Wasim Naeem guided Rafiq Sherazi Memorial Cricket Club to the semi-finals as they beat Baqai Dolphins by 55 runs.

In another match, Khizra Sports beat Alamgir Gymkhana by eight wickets.
