Zardari meets Turkish president, PM
ANKARA, June 27: Pakistan People’s Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari held separate meetings with Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan here on Friday and discussed with them ways to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
Talking to reporters after the meetings, Mr Zardari said Pakistan and Turkey had religious, cultural and political relations.
“I brought the message of love from the people of Pakistan for Turkish people.”He said the new democratic government was in place in Pakistan with committed approach.
A Pakistani delegation will soon visit Turkey to hold talks on enhancing cooperation in trade and agriculture sectors.
Mr Zardari also met the Turkish opposition leader.—PPI
